Scoring Ranges

WHAT DOES YOUR SCORE-VITAE MEAN ?

You now have a Score-Vitae and are possibly wondering what it means, and what you can do with it ?

There is no definitive answer, however, below are some examples of what your score could mean, and how it may be interpreted.

Your Score-Vitae target could be to achieve a score at least equal to your age as you progress through your career. This will, of course, vary from person to person, and there will always be a range of exceptions.

SCORE-VITAE OF 10-30

With a Score-Vitae between 10 and 30 you may be a young professional with 5-10 years of experience with a decent array of qualifications, and aspirations of a long career in construction.

This may have been achieved via a GCSE/A-Level and University Degree route, or a GCSE/BTec/HND/Apprenticeship route, as possible examples.

A guide for Employers may be that with such a Score-Vitae this individual is a keen evolving construction professional. However, even with a score approaching 25-30 the individual may have insufficient experience for a lead role such as Project Manager, Site Manager, or Design Manager.

SCORE-VITAEOF 31-50

With a Score-Vitae between 31 and 50 you may already be a career professional with 20 years of experience, and chartered, with possibly additional H&S or Legal or Technical qualifications.

With such a score you are likely to be a good candidate for senior roles and project  / site management, with further career progression likely as it shows commitment to the industry.

A guide for Employers may be that with a Score-Vitae approaching 45-50 this individual is likely to demonstrate sufficient experience for more senior roles.

SCORE-VITAEOF 51-70

With a Score-Vitae between 51 and 70 you may already be a career professional with 30+ years of experience, a chartered Member or Fellow of an Institution, with possibly an array of additional qualifications and accreditations. Alternatively you could be in your mid-30s pursuing a number of additional legal, research, or HSE qualifications that result in a higher score, but show your commitment to the construction industry nonetheless.

With such a score you are likely to be a good candidate for senior project roles on larger construction projects, and Director level appointments if that is your aspiration. This level of scoring shows commitment to the construction industry with further career progression very likley - with such experience why change path now !

A guide for Employers may be that with a Score-Vitae of over 50 this individual is likely to demonstrate sufficient experience for more senior and Director level roles.

SCORE-VITAEOF 70+

With a Score-Vitae of over 70 you are likely to be an established construction professional with 30+ years of experience, a chartered Member or Fellow of an Institution or two, with an array of additional qualifications and accreditations. Alternatively you could be a seriously ambitious individual with several Memberships or Fellowships, hence a higher score.

A guide for Employers may be that with a Score-Vitae of over 70 this individual is likely to demonstrate sufficient ambition or experience for roles in any field they are considering.
